There has been a discussion about whether Kylo is walking on a sand planet or not. Many people noticed those long cracks on the ground and so on.
Well, I edited a HQ screencap of that scene by changing its color palette, and as you can see it, the outcome absolutely confirms this theory.
Kylo is indeed on the desert planet of Pasaana.
( In my opinion the storm could be some kind of chaotic consequence of their intensifying force bond.)
